Although we often associate grief with bereavement or loss like divorce or physical ability, there are other places along life’s journey where we encounter loss.  Psychotherapist and soul activist Francis Weller identifies four additional gates of grief that we all pass on our human journey.  Recognizing and going through these gates helps us apprenticped by sorrow and leads us to develop kindness.
